The Summer Editorial or the Pre-Principle of it all. 8 October 2020 – Posted in: Journal

As you can imagine, MAD was supposed to have been born before today. And although one of our basic concepts is to create pieces that are neither age nor valid or specific in time, some processes have become more complicated than they should with all this current world pandemic situation.

During the summer, (finally!) We already had our first wipes ready. However, although we managed to photograph the first editorial and what would be our first campaign, we again had problems with delays in the production of stock and parts for sale due to the lack of response from our printing partners, as not being active thanks to the development of the pandemic.

In any case, we decided to move forward and now that we have everything working we are surrendered to the results. We obviously had to take new photos. Although this first editorial is a dream, it is a summer dream. We had to adjust the image in order to show you how we can apply the pieces in any season and make our look more autumnal and wintry. However, it would not be fair not to publish and highlight these incredible images and this beauty of a girl who volunteered with all the care and readiness to be our first face. We could not fail to highlight her colors and their combination with the earth tones of the rocks and the vibrant tones of our designs.

Regardless of everything, it also seemed like the ideal excuse to introduce you to this space that will be our journal and explain the concept to you to develop. Our entire website was created with the aim of becoming a kind of strange place where everything happens. As such, we would like it to be a place of sharing. Share what we do, what you do, what everyone does. Artists, Designers, articles on technology, a new robot they invented, new or different ways of tattooing, creative processes, ceramic production … everything is possible. That said, here is the invitation – if you are an artist, or a creator – share your work with us. Tell us your story and the ideas out of the box you may have! Send us an email with your article to [email protected] and join us and make the MAD community grow!

I leave you with these wonderful photographs of our dear Claudia and the explosion of colors of our prints. We hope you like it as much as we do.

Love,

MAD
